Industrial designs protect ornamental and aesthetic aspects of articles produced in mass. A design may consist both of its three-dimensional appearance (form of the article), and of its two-dimensional appearance (lines and colors). In order to be registered as an industrial design, an article must meet the novelty and difference standards.

- Request filed in the country of original.
- Priority document issued by the receiving offere of the inityial request.
- Special power-of-attorney.
- Documents of assigning of rights of the inventor, in case the request is filed by a third party.
- Certification of registration of the patent, once recorded in its country of origin.
An industrial design registration could take nine months.
US$550.00. This charge includes all the disbursements normally involved in the procedure, such as publication, registry fees and professional fees. It DOES NOT include consular stamps that must be paid for authentication of documents, translation of documents when necessary, courier service, nor any additional expense outside of the normal disbursements.
In case of specialized professional evaluation needed, the Official Patents Office determined fee will be applied.
