GENERAL INFORMATION

Distinctive signs are those signs that a manufacturer or merchant adopts to identify its products or services within the market. In compliance with the criteria established by the ADPIC, Costa Rican laws grant protection to trademarks, trade names, slogans and other indicators, such as geographic origin signs.

TRADEMARES offers legal services for the registration, maintenance, and defense of distinctive signs before the Registry and before all civil and criminal courts in Costa Rica and the rest of Central America.
